MY SPM ERA
MY SPM ERA
Everyone have their
own memory or experience that really meaningful for them that hard to forget.
No matter it is something make them happy or something make them traumatized. For
me, all the things that happen in our life there must be a reason. Whatever happen
we need to accept with an open heart especially something that remembered us to
our nightmare. Basically, the past is the best life lesson that we should take
heed of so we can avoid to do the same mistakes twice. So, as we still young we
should make many sweet memory either with friend or family because you only
live once.
As a normal person, of course I do
have experience that I enjoy doing when I was still a highschool student especially
when I am on my SPM era. Personally, I can’t deny the life that I living on
that time is the best thing that ever happen to me. There a lot of thing that we have done while enjoying our
senior years. During that time we almost do everything together such as recess and
study. We usually set a place to study but most of the time we wil choose to
study at school because there are some of my friends staying at dormitory. For
us, study together is better than study alone because we can ask for help from
each other then he can explain not only to the person who ask the question but for
all. Study group was something fun and enjoyable, I really miss that moment when
seeing all my friends work diligently for SPM.
Actually
a week before SPM, we were planned to book a chalet at Yan, Kedah and have barbeque
there. We actually want to release all the stress and preasure before facing
SPM. That 2 days 1 night was such a memorable moment which is always played in
my mind until now. We swim in the pool from evening to midnight ! We didn't
realize that we had been taking a bath for that long because we were too
complacent having fun and chatting. On the midnight, we were having our barbeque
while exchanging horror story and wondering what will us do after finish our SPM.
Most of us planned to find a part time job before continuing our study to add our
pocket money and pay the registration fee. After done eating and share story we
do the dishes and prepared to watch horror movie before sleep. Finally, we were
going to bed after the movie end.
The long
awaited day has finally arrived, first day of SPM was started and all of us
really anxious on that day. Before entering the exam hall, we made a promise to
do our best and fill everything and not leave blank answers even though we don’t
know the answer. We also have promised not to discuss the paper that has been answered
and focus on the next paper. A month has passed and SPM is on its last day and
that day is also our last day as a school student. We then met with all the
teachers to apologize and ask them to pray for us to get excellent results in
SPM. On that day we took pictures to be our last memories as students.
Day
after day passed, the SPM results were finally out. Full of trepidation and
fear, I prepared to go to school and collect my SPM results. I asked my parents
to go to school too in the hope that I would get excellent results and be able
to take them on stage and make them feel proud of my efforts. When we arrived
at school, I was waiting with trembling and thinking “how if I don't get
excellent results, my parents must be disappointed”. Soon after, my name was called to go on stage, at
that moment I was surprised and happy. I
hugged my parents and led them by the hand up to the stage. What surprised me
the most was seeing my mother cry with joy seeing my success even though my
results were not as good as others it touched my heart because she was proud of
me.
After a long period,
on that day I was able to meet again with friends and teachers. actually, after SPM
everyone is busy working so we don't have time to get together or hang out. On
that day everyone took the day off and for the first time since the last day of
school we were able to get together again. After the ceremony ended, we went to meet the
teachers who had taught us. My teacher is proud of the results we have
obtained, in accordance with the efforts we have sown all this time. Actually, I was sad
because my results were not comparable to my other friends, I regretted not
trying harder but my father comforted me by saying I already did my best. My mother said that I
was eligible to apply for IPG and she told me that she would like to see her
son become a teacher. After hearing my mother say that I was determined to
continue my studies to become a teacher and fulfill my mother's dream.
